About It's All Fun and Paints

Hi there! I’m Shannon, the face behind It's All Fun and Paints, where creativity meets fun and unforgettable experiences are made. I started this business in July 2016 with a simple dream: to get more people into the arts, especially those who thought they couldn’t do it. My husband and I built the first 10 easels ourselves in our workshop, and from there, my journey in making art accessible to everyone began.

Whether you're looking for a vibrant face-painting session for a birthday party or a laid-back night of painting and laughter with friends, I’m here to help you brush away boredom and create memories that will last long after the paint dries.

I’m based in Smithers, BC, but my paintbrush and I love to travel! I’ve painted with folks as far north as Dease Lake, and I’m always excited to collaborate with local businesses and communities across the northern region to bring a unique artistic touch to your special event.

A bit about me

With a background in Fine Art and Fine Art History, I've had the privilege of teaching in diverse environments, from museum summer schools to public schools across all grades. My passion for art is matched only by my love sharing it with others, making me the perfect choice for your paint nights and private lessons.

After relocating from Ontario to the stunning landscapes of northern BC, I've embraced the outdoor lifestyle, spending my free time skiing and enjoying nature with my family. When I'm not painting or teaching, you'll find me in the kitchen baking sweet treats or tackling DIY projects!
