About It's All Fun and Paints

Hi there! I’m Shannon, the face behind It's All Fun and Paints, where creativity meets fun and unforgettable experiences are made. I started this business in July 2016 with a simple dream: to get more people into the arts, especially those who thought they couldn’t do it. My husband and I built the first 10 easels ourselves in our workshop, and from there, my journey in making art accessible to everyone began.

Whether you're looking for a vibrant face-painting session for a birthday party or a laid-back night of painting and laughter with friends, I’m here to help you brush away boredom and create memories that will last long after the paint dries.

I offer a range of artistic services, including:

Paint Parties for all ages (the heart of my business!)
Body Art, including face painting, glitter tattoos, henna, and festival glitter
Workshops that mix learning with creativity
And so much more!

I’m based in Smithers, BC, but my paintbrush and I love to travel! I’ve painted with folks as far north as Dease Lake, and I’m always excited to collaborate with local businesses and communities across the northern region to bring a unique artistic touch to your special event.

A bit about me

I studied Fine Art and Fine Art History at university and have been lucky enough to teach in many different settings—from museum summer school classes and after-school arts programs to working as a teacher’s aid at Sheridan College. I love sharing my passion for art with others, and I’ve spent years helping people explore their creativity.

Outside of painting and teaching, you can often find me in the kitchen baking up something sweet, working on DIY projects, or gearing up for one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. I’m a bit Halloween crazy and always get excited for any costumed event!
